Bruxx - New Belgian
Bruxx “New Belgian” is a Belgian restaurant that opened a few years ago in the heart of Tallinn, in the Rotermann Quarter. The restaurant offers a taste experience rooted in Belgian culinary traditions, interwoven with modern techniques and the chef’s distinctive innovations.
A Young but Experienced Chef
Leading the restaurant is the young yet experienced chef Luka Khikiladze. Luka has been working as a chef from a young age, bringing immense passion to both the culinary arts and contemporary techniques. He has refined his skills in some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide and has curated multiple restaurants in England, Georgia, and Italy. In 2020, Luka participated in the Bocuse d’Or as part of the Georgian national team!
Now, Luka heads Bruxx and brings his culinary talent and gastronomic ideas to the restaurant every day.
A Belgian-Inspired Menu
Modern Belgian cuisine combines traditional dishes with new perspectives. The restaurant goes beyond the classic beer pub concept, emphasizing a cozy dining atmosphere. Bruxx is an ideal spot for gatherings with family, friends, or business partners.
The menu features classic Belgian dishes as well as Bruxx’s own takes on internationally beloved recipes. Those wishing to get closer to Belgian national cuisine should try moules frites – mussels with fries. Seafood plays a prominent role on the menu, with fish dishes like tuna tartare and oysters available.
For other Belgian culinary classics, we recommend flammekueche – a Belgian-style thinly sliced bread topped with caviar and truffle paste. The desserts are exquisite as well, providing indulgence for chocolate lovers and fine cheese enthusiasts alike. And, of course, the menu wouldn’t be complete without the iconic Belgian waffles, served with berries and vanilla ice cream.
A Quality Beverage Selection
In addition to the food menu, Bruxx has a thoughtful beverage selection. The drinks menu includes refreshing cocktails, each illustrated with a drawing of its presentation. Beer fans, especially those who appreciate Belgian brews, will not be disappointed; there is a wide range of both draft and bottled local beers. The wine menu is also extensive, offering something for every taste. Non-alcoholic options are available as well, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Like many Belgian cafés and bars that span multiple floors, Bruxx offers two cozy levels. On the first floor, there’s an open kitchen area where you can enjoy watching the chefs at work. The second floor is perfect for relaxing with a cocktail or beer while enjoying live music.
