Welcome to the Seventeenth Heavens

On the seventeenth-floor of the Hotel Alsik, is the high-end restaurant Syttende. Named after its floor level, this restaurant has the most remarkable view to enjoy while dining on the finest ingredients. From this height, you can see Sønderborg’s harbourfront and Flensborg Fjord. The restaurant dines only seven tables, as acclaimed top chef, Jesper Koch and his team refuse to compromise on the individual’s experience, therefore ensuring that each guest has an intimate and intense experience of aromas and flavours up in the skies.

The Koch Who Came Home

Jesper Koch has returned home to become the culinary master of Hotel Alsik. Born and bred in Aabenraa, he is now taking on all three restaurants at Hotel Alsik in Sønderborg. Winner of the awards Chef of the Year in 2000 and Restaurant of the Year in 2005, Koch has over 20 years of experience on his belt. He is most famously known for being a judge on the popular MasterChef show since 2014. Jesper Koch’s expertise will send Syttende into divinity within the culinary world.
