Big ambitions

The two owners Lars Ludvig Jacobsen and Thor Ingo Gabrielsen, are experts in making first-class dishes at reasonable prices, and from day one, they have worked hard to make Jacob & Gabriel one of Telemark's best restaurants. The dynamic duo has very much succeeded as the restaurant is a big hit.

In October 2017, they moved their restaurant into new premises on the corner of Arkaden in Skien Sentrum. They also run the sister restaurant Strøm og Bar in Skien.

 

Hearty food made from scratch

At Jacob & Gabriel, the sublime qualities of the raw materials are cultivated and heightened. It may sound simple, but it is an art form to find the best in every ingredient.

Using the best of each raw material creates incredible dishes, and a varied menu that changes from time to time keeps things interesting and intriguing. Sometimes you will get fresh shrimp, and other times you get tasty pork from Grøstad farm. It is important to Jacob & Gabriel to follow the food’s history and ensure a local connection. That is why they follow the Norwegian seasons closely.

Everything on the menu is made from scratch with the use of fresh and clean products. The restaurant recommends ordering their 3- or 4-course menu, but they can also tempt with a rich and varied á la carte menu.

 

Delightful atmosphere

Jacob & Gabriel is a popular and inviting restaurant where everyone is welcome. Here, a dress code is not something you have to worry about – just come as you are.

A pleasant atmosphere cannot be created without great people. The staff at Jacob & Gabriel are friendly and helpful. Both the chefs and waiters are available if you have any questions or if you need recommendations concerning food and/or beverages.
