SUMI by Põhjala Brewery

Sumi is a dual concept - in the morning, a lively French inspired neighborhood bakery and by the evening a warm and inviting Japanese influenced restaurant, where open fire is in the heart of everything we cook.

Our pastry is created by our very own pastry chef Hannah Holman. You can expect classical French techniques mixed with Hannah's American roots. Out with the sourdough, in with the Brioche and Pain au Chocolate!

To accompany our mouthwatering pastries, we have to offer a wide selection of teas and expertly brewed coffees.

Our restaurant concept is heavily influenced by our Executive Chef Michael Holman who is of Japanese-Canadian heritage. Mike has worked across the world in some of the best restaurants, where his love for cooking on open fire set aflame.

To dive into your culinary experience, you can choose whether you would like to observe the kitchen preparing your food by sitting at the chef's table or indulge in our stylish restaurant.

The hero of our bar is beer!

You can enjoy a large variety of local Estonian beers- a total of 12 taps offers a selection of our own Põhjala Brewery beers, brewed just down the road in Port Noblessner.

Our bar has a large variety of soft drinks, wines, cocktails and of course beer cocktails!

We guarantee if you are not a fan of beer when you first walk in, you certainly will be on your way out.

We are located in the newly developed area of Põhja-Tallinn, which is called Krulli Quarter. A short walk away from Port Noblessner and Telliskivi quarter. The quickest way to us is to take a tram number 1,2 or 5.
