Põhjala Tap Room in Kalamaja, located at Peetri 5, is an exciting beer restaurant featuring 24 taps of craft beer from Põhjala and their friends’ breweries from around the world.

Texas BBQ Style

The restaurant menu is curated under the guidance of head chef Michael Holman. Its flagship offering is authentic Texas BBQ, prepared fresh daily (except Sundays) in-house. In addition, the menu includes a variety of snacks, appetizing beer bites, hearty hot sandwiches, salads, and delicious desserts.

While the restaurant serves Texas BBQ flavors daily, Sundays are dedicated to leisurely brunch experiences. On Sundays, an all-day breakfast menu is available, featuring all the classic breakfast favorites.

Sunday All-Day Breakfast

The breakfast menu draws inspiration from beloved American dishes. You’ll find a classic American breakfast with eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, and butter-toasted bread. For an even heartier option, try the "Rambo Breakfast," which includes everything mentioned above plus sausage, beef brisket, pulled pork, and stewed beans.

Thick pancakes, omelets, granola, and sandwiches also hold a special place on the menu.

Everything Made In-House

All baked goods, sauces, pickles, kimchi, bacon, and sausages at Põhjala Tap Room are made in-house. This ensures high quality and guarantees that everything served is honest and authentic.

A Great Restaurant for Beer Lovers

Põhjala Tap Room offers a vast selection of draft beers – from the freshest Põhjala IPAs to rich, oak-aged imperial stouts and carefully selected guest beers.

A Multifunctional Venue and Brewery

In addition to the beer restaurant, the venue also features a beer and souvenir shop, a private sauna, and a brewery. Brewery tours are available from Thursday to Sunday. The 45-minute guided tour takes you through the production areas, explains the brewing process and Põhjala’s history, and includes tastings of 3–4 different beers. The tour costs €15 per person and can be conveniently booked in advance via DinnerBooking.

Each tour can accommodate up to 20 people, and pre-registration at least 24 hours in advance is required. Tours are available in both Estonian and English.

Põhjala also surprises visitors with a private sauna. The Põhjala private sauna is available for rent during the restaurant’s opening hours. It accommodates up to 8 people and includes a steam room, showers, a lounge area with sofas and chairs, and a private restroom.
