Bryggen is located right in the town square at Østergade 8 in a former brewery. The charming premises create a warm and cozy atmosphere, welcoming everyone who enjoys good food and ambiance.

Honest and genuine food made from scratch

At Restaurant Bryggen, they believe in honest and genuine food made from scratch. The ingredients should speak for themselves, and their combination should result in balance, consistency, completeness, and the best taste experiences. Bryggen offers both a 3- and 4-course menu, but you can also choose freely from a variety of exciting appetizers, main courses, sides, and desserts from the a la carte menu. For the youngest guests, there are children's dishes, and the restaurant also offers wine pairings at very reasonable prices. In short, there is something for every taste and age at Restaurant Bryggen.

Experienced chef behind the restaurant

You are in the safest hands at Restaurant Bryggen. The man behind Bryggen is the experienced chef Phong Thanh. He is a trained chef from Falsled Kro here on Funen, and his background in French cuisine combined with his Vietnamese roots shapes the dishes you will be served at Restaurant Bryggen.

Phong grew up in Assens, and with his great passion for food and a dream of creating something unique in his hometown, Restaurant Bryggen was born. In addition to Restaurant Bryggen, Phong Thanh also owns Me - Mothers Streetfood in Odense, Aiko Sushi in Nyborg, and Phi Phi in Kerteminde. The former won first place in the “Best Value” category at Best of Odense in 2020.
