Restaurant Alsik
Hotel Alsik opened its door in the spring of 2019 and has since then become one of the biggest hotels in Denmark. The hotel overlooks the magnificent waterfront in Sønderborg, South Jutland. Its hallmarks are tasteful Nordic design and were designed by the world-famous Canadian and American architect Frank Gehry.

The hotel is equipped with the biggest spa-and-wellness area in Northern Europe and offers three different restaurants, all developed and managed by the acclaimed top chef Jesper Koch. Restaurant Alsik is the hotels’ buffet-and breakfast-restaurant.
Famous Koch
The soul of South Jutland has returned home to become the culinary master of Hotel Alsik. Born and bred in Aabenraa, Jesper Koch has returned to his roots and is now taking on all three restaurants at Hotel Alsik. Koch has over 20 years of experience in the culinary world.
He has been on several TV programmes and is most known for being a judge on the popular MasterChef show since 2014. He won Chef of the Year in 2000 and won Restaurant of the Year for Restaurant Koch in 2005. There is no doubt that this culinary expert is the perfect frontman for Restaurant Alsik.

Here at Restaurant Alsik, you are guaranteed to know the items on the menu. The culinary focus is to bring something from different continents but stays rooted in Southern Jutland gastronomy. The recipes are elegantly combined with local produce.
The restaurant offers buffet and breakfast menus as well as an international menu with delicious comfort food for every taste. The meals all cost 99kr and features everything from burgers and pasta to the charcuterie of renowned South Jutland sausages.
