SALT bistro bar is located in a quiet corner of the lobby in the beautiful Admiral Hotel, which is only a few minutes walk from Amalienborg and the vibrant Ofelia Plads. At SALT bistro bar, they serve Danish bistro dishes of the highest quality in historical settings.

Local produce and a global point of view

At SALT, the dishes are primarily local, but they also seek inspiration from near and far. Their hearts beat the hardest when the seasons change since they get to use the seasonal produce that Danish nature can provide. The philosophy behind the SALT kitchen's modern Danish bistro dishes is that food should be harmonious and balanced. It comes to show on the menu where the dishes have a fine balance between traditional and modern combined with the pleasure of familiarity and the challenge of going in new directions. 

A menu full of deliciousness 

SALT bistro bar has an à la carte menu, which allows you to choose between tasty snacks, appetising open sandwiches and SALT’s selection of lunch and dinner dishes. Their menu changes every 4th week. That is why you can always come back and taste the dishes on their new seasonal menu. Common for every monthly menu is that there is always a large selection of exquisite meals. No matter what you choose from the menu you will never be disappointed. SALT bistro bar offers a great selection of refreshing aperitifs, selected champagnes, chilled rose wines, elegant cocktails, sweet dessert wine and port.

Historical warehouse from 1787

Admiral Hotel contains a lot of history and is a testimony of the Danish people's rich trade period in the age of sail. The building was built as a corn-drying warehouse in 1787. The warehouse could contain up to 30.000 barrels of corn that would be transported to Denmark with ships from abroad. In 1978, the building went through a meticulous restoration and has since then been a hotel. Shortly after the opening, the restoration project and the hotel received a Europa Nostra diploma for their contribution to preserving and enriching European architecture. As a guest at SALT, you will experience a unique atmosphere where old, detached pine beams along with the light, Nordic interior create an intimate and special setting for a dining experience. 

You can also book a table at SALT Restaurant where you can enjoy a lovely lunch or dinner. In the summer, you can get a table on SALT’s terrace and enjoy your food in the sun. SALT bistro bar is looking forward to welcoming you!
