Cartel's Latin American Kitchen & Bar Bergen

Salsa has changed their name to Cartel´s.
Same team, same food & drinks, same atmosphere!

Cartel's Latin American Kitchen & Bar is a Latin-American restaurant in central Bergen with a menu full of exciting flavours and a great atmosphere inside. It is the perfect place to stop by for a bite to eat if you want a break from the rain and clouds of Western Norway.

Inspired by America

At Neumansgate 25, you will find Cartel's Latin American Kitchen & Bar. The southern name smells of high temperature and exciting flavours, and it is also exactly what you get when you step inside.

On the menu, they have tasty, well-seasoned food. Cartel's Latin American Kitchen & Bar combines American steakhouse traditions with Latin American passion, interspersed with a dash of Tex-Mex. For starters, you can indulge in deep-fried gambas (scampi in olive oil and smoked chilli) or ‘popcorn mussels.’ You can also choose more familiar dishes such as nachos.

Large menu

What about the main course, you ask? Here, too, the freedom of choice is great, and you are guaranteed generous portions. They often change up the menu as well as the kitchen loves experimenting with exciting new trends and always grab the opportunity to be creative.

The menu is versatile and exciting, filled with everything from fajitas and burgers to seafood and steak as the chefs draw inspiration from many different American traditions. Their tasty drinks are served in glasses as large as jam jars.

Since opening in 2006, the restaurant's ambition has been to serve the most tender and tasty steaks in Bergen, and they have very much succeeded as their steaks are considered one of the best in the city.

A culinary trip

When you cross the threshold of Cartel's Latin American Kitchen & Bar, it is as if you step into another world. The warm, reddish surroundings give the impression that you are on holiday - not in rainy Bergen, but rather a scorching hot place on the other side of the Atlantic.

The Latin music emitting from the speakers hypnotizes you and invites you to eat and then dance and dance and dance.
