Landmark
“What quality! What prices! It is unlikely to find a better combination in Bergen when it comes to quality and price” - Tom Marthinsen, Bergensavisen, March 29, 2019.
Landmark is Bergen Kunsthall’s café, concert venue and nightclub. It offers an extensive program with talks, gatherings, showings, performances and concerts arranged by partners from Bergen and beyond.
A varying, interesting lunch menu
The trendy museum café serves freshly brewed coffee from Supreme Roastworks. Here you find an ever-changing lunch menu with only the best produce from local suppliers. A previous menu tempted guests with pulled pork burgers with fries and tasty salads. You can also get a hold of good natural wine, fresh cocktails and aromatic beers. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is delicious and the prices are good, especially taking their location into account. Landmark is indeed a pleasant oasis in the heart of Bergen.
Lunch at Landmark can be combined with a visit to Bergen Hunsthall, which is in the same building as the café. Are you on the other hand going to a live event at the weekend? Then you can get a simplified menu.
Spontaneous visits are always welcome, but they recommend booking a table, especially during the weekend.
Art gallery and live events
Bergen Kunsthall is a centre for contemporary art. Here, they have exhibitions and host events with international artists. The institution was established as Bergen’s art association in 1838 and has since 1935 had its location in Ole Landmark’s functionalist building with exhibition halls, a café and a bookshop. Landmark hosts a series of live events such as concerts and nightclubbing on weekends. In addition, they offer a broad selection of learning activities and debates in which everyone is welcome to participate.
