The restaurant opened its doors for the first time in autumn 2017 in Aarhus and later another in Copenhagen. You will find this restaurant in the heart of Oslo, namely Storgata 10. 

Here you will get an intimate and unforgettable dining experience. A flair for detail in the kitchen together with a personal and attentive staff is the perfect recipe for a welcoming and warm atmosphere. 

Italian inspired kitchen

Basso’s Social Dining menu changes alongside the seasons, but the dishes are always inspired by the Italian kitchen. The menu has a Nordic twist due to its profound respect for Norwegian food traditions and ingredients. At Basso, they use the most delicious produce when the chefs conjure up their take on the Italian food culture.

On the à la carte menu, you will find tempting Italian dishes such as ricotta which consists of crispy potato croquette filled with ricotta cheese and fried spinach topped with fresh black truffle. Craving pasta? Then you must try Basso’s homemade pasta. The pasta is tossed in salvia and the Swedish cheese Västerbotten. This cheese is rich in umami, and it has a crystallised cheese mass. Quality is always a high priority down to the smallest details. This is also the reason why the pasta is homemade.

At Basso, you can embark on a big, tasteful journey by choosing to get 10 or 13 courses. Look forward to the classic Italian dishes and innovative dishes with creative touches and flavours from the Nordic kitchen. Everyone at the table must get the same number of courses.
