Anno Spise & Drikke is on Apotekertorget in the center of Ålesund. They serve delicious dishes that draw inspiration from both the homeland and abroad. Their pizza is baked in a stone oven, and it is one of the things that makes the lunch menu so tempting.
If these walls could talk
The walls here at Anno House possess a lot of history, and the house has been full of life since 1907. The story begins, not so surprisingly, with an Ålesund tradesman who became rich in exporting clipfish (dried and salted cod). The tradesman then bought some apartment buildings and opened up a shop. It was said that you could buy just about anything in the tradesman’s shop. Even if you did not find what you needed that day, you would still come home with something.
For many years, the Stafseth family owned the place and had many good traditions. During Christmas time, it was a very exciting time to visit the store. The place became a winter wonderland, and many stood in line to come in and greet the elves.
When the store closed, the restaurants took over the building. Several countries and nations have created food here throughout time, but now, house ANNO has taken over and has been rocking the food industry for over ten years!

Anno restaurant is in the heart of Ålesund, more specifically in Brosundet, which in itself sets the mood for a nice meal. Here there is always a great atmosphere and lots of life.
Large and varied menu
Anno has a large and varied menu based on ideas from French and Italian cuisine where methods, consistency and taste are in focus. Here you will find food that suits everyone - big and small, for lunch and dinner. The á la carte menu varies depending on the season, while the classics many guests continuously come back for are served throughout the year.
Separate Chamber "Hylla"
Anno is suitable for all occasions and can offer Chambre séparée "Hylla," with its own balcony and large windows with a view directly into Brosundet. With up to 35 seats, it is the perfect place for gatherings for a work event, a group of friends or extended family.
