Wonderful food and excellent service
The area Fredensborg in Oslo has become a haven for small restaurants in recent years. The Italian restaurant Arno is part of this food haven in Fredensborg. They offer wonderful, tasty dishes and excellent service.
The owners of this little restaurant are Susanne and Carlo. Carlos is in the kitchen cooking while Susanne greets the guests out front with a big, contagious smile.
Together they came to Norway with the same ideas, dreams and values. One of their dreams was to run their own place, and in 2016, that dream finally came true. Today, Arno Ristorante is a gastronomic oasis that serves homemade Italian food for hungry guests.
Origin and inspiration
Since the charming restaurant is not that big, there is a pleasant and intimate ambiance inside. The name of the restaurant comes from the name of a Tuscan river. The cuisine itself also takes its inspiration from the traditions of Tuscany.
On the menu, they have well-known dishes such as pasta and risotto, prepared traditionally, of course. You can also find several wines from the Tuscan region.
If you have room for dessert, it is highly recommended to try their tasty tiramisu. It is the perfect ending to an all-around authentic Italian evening!
Hearty restaurant
The venue itself is very cozy, but it is the staff that completes the place. It is clear as soon as you step inside that the owners are incredibly proud of their restaurant. It is near impossible not to be infected by owner Susanne’s energetic and pleasant nature. Their staff also go out of their way to give you an enjoyable evening that will leave you wanting more.
