Capture the French vacation feeling
At restaurant Lalala, you can capture that delightful French atmosphere you remember from your vacations in the south. The menu and wine list are authentically French, as are the surroundings. The love for French gastronomy is unmistakable, and as one of the owners told the media AOK, there is “...no deviation in the French waltz.” They focus on fine French country cuisine, serving classic regional dishes made from local ingredients and accompanied by French wines. The restaurant is named after a special French wine".
A tribute to the French wine farmer
The name Lalala is a tribute to the French winemaker Etienne Guigal and his star wines La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne – also known as 'The La Las'. In addition to a selection of other French wines, you will also find the three La Las on the wine list. Regarding their wine list, Lalala writes:
“We have made the ‘hard’ journey from north to south along the Rhône River and put together a wonderful wine list with plenty of delightful wines! The beauty of the Rhône region lies in its broad range of styles from north to south, offering the chance to go all out with Côte-Rôtie and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, or simply enjoy a lightly chilled Grenache from Ventoux or a juicy Côtes-du-Rhône... but the whole of France becomes our wine playground”.
Well-known and successful team behind
Lalala is run by restaurateurs Andreas Malling and Charles Teinby. In addition to this French gem, they also operate the restaurants Sankt Annæ 8 and Undici in Christianshavn, as well as 20A in Ravnsborggade on Nørrebro. Although Lalala and Undici function as two separate dining establishments with their own menus and styles, the shared quality and style are evident. The two locations frequently collaborate due to their close proximity, ensuring good service and quality at both places.
