Hærværk
This trendy hotspot on Frederiks Allé 105 in Aarhus C, is a spectacular and unique experience. The place is minimalistic, with its white walls against the rustic tables and the black chairs. It, however, remains a cozy place with warm lighting with flowers and brightly lit candles. They are open Wednesday-Saturday from 17:30-22:00.
Line-up at Hærværk
The young men behind Hærværk are friends Mads Schriver, Asbjørn Munk, Rune Lund Sørensen and Michael Christensen. The four owners are all professionals within the field. They opened the restaurant in 2014 with the vision of keeping everything natural and local. They partner with local producers and suppliers who grow, raise, catch and hunt themselves.
Furthermore, they wish to have a changing menu, so as always to follow seasons and availability to guarantee the absolute best ingredients for their dining guests. By following these principles, the four men behind Hærværk have created a playful and creative atmosphere, which will guarantee the guest have an uncompromising gourmet experience.
Michelin Bib Gourmand
Hærkværk was awarded the title of “Bib Gourmand” by the Michelin Guide in 2015. Since then, they have been able to keep that title. This title is given only to restaurants that serve great food for a great value. Therefore, if you dine at Hærværk, you have ensured a dining experience out of the ordinary for a price that won’t break your bank! The Michelin Guide describes the restaurant on their website as such:
“Run with plenty of passion and enthusiasm by a group of friends. The place has an ersatz industrial feel, thanks to the concrete floor, stark white décor and a glass-fronted fridge of hanging meats. The menu focuses on organic Danish produce in dishes that are earthy, natural and satisfying.”
Dining With (Organic) Care
The menu at Hærværk is based upon animal welfare, sustainability and consideration for the environment. At this restaurant, you will often dine on dishes you perhaps wouldn’t have chosen yourself but will come to love nonetheless. The restaurant sticks to only one specific menu at the time and offers it through either a 5-course-meal or the “I’ll have it all”-menu.
