On Store Strandgade, close to the idyllic Nyhavn, you find Zeleste. The restaurant has a cosy cobbled courtyard, where you can enjoy a nice lunch and a romantic dinner. 

Crayfish party, peel-and-eat shrimp, and fish

The intimate dinner experience combined with the beautiful, cosy surroundings is something you can look forward to when you book a table at Zeleste. Zeleste serves small, elegant dishes inspired by French and Nordic kitchens. The dishes are made from fresh and seasonal produce with a special focus on seafood. Both for lunch and dinner, you can order peel-and-eat shrimp with aioli and lemon and half a lobster with lemon mayonnaise and dill mayonnaise. During the summer, you can participate in the traditional Swedish crayfish party that takes place in the courtyard. For these events, you will be seated at a long table with the other guests. Moreover, you will experience the great atmosphere, eat crayfish, cheer in distilled spirits, and participate in the community singing. 

Pleasant courtyard

Zeleste has one of the most beautiful, cosy, and oldest courtyards in Copenhagen. It is perfect for both romantic dinners, business lunches or a few chill drinks. The exterior is pure and classic with decorations that contribute to the intimate feel. The cobbled courtyard, the charming chain of lights and the fireplace create the atmosphere for a perfect night. The courtyard is also a great place to enjoy a glass of chilled rosé in the sun.
Intimate and romantic atmosphere
There is space for everyone at Zeleste. If you prefer to be seated in the calm area of the restaurant, we suggest that you get a table inside. The interior is stylish and classic with maritime details and lots of cosy spots, contributing to the romantic and intimate atmosphere. The ground floor is situated around a beautiful, cobbled courtyard with a big, open fireplace. On the first floor, you can dine in a big and spacious room or a smaller one that seats private parties. 

A member of the Tholstrup family

The Tholstrup business was founded back in 1972 by Peter Tholstrup. To this day, it is still a family business. All Tholstrup restaurants have the following things in common: a passion for quality, a love for the seasonal produce and profound respect for dining experiences. Other than Zeleste, Tholstrup is also in charge of Huks Fluks, Kompasset, Bøf & Ost, Nyhavns Færgekro and Cap Horn. All these restaurants are in Copenhagen.
