Familiar faces behind the new Rødovre restaurant

Rasmus Jonasson, Jan Jonasson, and Birk Voss have taken over the restaurant in Kulturhuset Viften. The three guys know Rødovre very well, as they also run Espehus Kro in Espelunden. Rasmus Jonasson is experienced in the culinary world, having worked at renowned restaurants both in Denmark and abroad, and this is evident when you visit the restaurant. Birk Voss’ expert hand oversees the service, ensuring that the experience is complete.

At Restaurant Alice, they serve traditional Danish food with a twist — and they make the best brunch in town on weekends. All dishes are prepared with the high-quality ingredients we know from Espehus Kro.

With love for Grandma Alice

The restaurant is named after Birk Voss' grandmother, Alice, who has spent her entire life in Rødovre. "Alice is a lovely and generous person," says Rasmus Jonasson, who sees her as a kind of surrogate grandmother. For the restaurant owners, Alice is not just a random name, but a person who has had a significant impact on them and has a connection to Rødovre, making it even more fitting to name the restaurant after her.

What to look forward to on your plate

At the restaurant, you can enjoy a variety of delicious and flavorful appetizers, main courses, sides, and snacks from the à la carte menu. As you glance over the menu, you’ll find dishes like cold-smoked salmon, minced beef steak, hake, tartare, and delectable desserts such as chocolate tart. And of course, you can wash it all down with some really good wine.
