About Steensgaard Madhus


At Steensgaard Madhus, sustainability and quality are paramount. We aim to serve dishes that, as far as possible, are made from ingredients that come directly from our own farm. We have both our Angus beef cattle, which feed on organic grass all year round, an organic farm of 900 hectares, horticulture and our own herb garden. This gives our kitchen and restaurant manager Kristian Vikkelsø the best opportunities to develop menus that are always fresh, local and with good ingredients.


We care about protecting our planet and at the same time creating a restaurant with food that tastes great. That is why our napkins, tablecloths, waiter shirts and aprons are also from the Upcy brand. Upcy recycles discarded textiles, which are given new life both in Steensgaard Madhus and many other places in Denmark.


In the interior design of Steensgaard Madhus, we have emphasized creating a connection to the surrounding beautiful South Funen landscape. We hope that you will enjoy the food, the atmosphere and your experience with us.
