Right in the eye of the hurricane – also known as Nyhavn resides restaurant Barock. Experience a unique atmosphere that only Nyhavn can offer. Come by for cold refreshments as well as a myriad of tasty dishes.

The best of both worlds

As you walk from Kongens Nytorv towards Nyhavn's iconic and colourful houses, you will automatically run into Restaurant Barock. The building houses two connected restaurants, and they each interpret the best from their world. On the ground floor, the menu consists of Danish and international dishes – and an emphasis on seafood. In the basement, Harbor Grill invites you to try perhaps the best burgers in Nyhavn. They often renew their menu but remain consistent on quality. The food at Barock always has fresh ingredients.

A great experience

Take a seat in the soft wicker chairs on their summer terrace while enjoying the buzzing atmosphere of life and the beautiful view of the water. If it happens to be a rainy day, fret not – Barock has cozy dining rooms inside. The restaurant's rustic and stylish décor is inspired by Louis XVI and accompanied by classical music from the speakers. You can look forward to a peaceful atmosphere when you book a table at Restaurant Barock.

Attentive waiters are ready to give you a great experience at Barock in Nyhavn. They come from all over the world, and although they may not be trained servants, good service is in their DNA.

A colourful street full of history

Nyhavn's history dates back to 1673. Back then, Nyhavn was a lively trading port with lots of pubs, drunken sailors and loose women. Today, Nyhavn still radiates the same vibrant energy loved by both locals and tourists.

In Nyhavn, it is never quiet. The street is full of different sounds: street musicians, bicycle taxis, foreign languages, clinking glasses, boat engines and rattling plates.

When the sun is shining, there is no better place to enjoy a cold beer than on the quay overlooking the water and the old wooden ships.
