Cafe Den Blå Hund
On Godthåbsvej 28 on Frederiksberg is Den Blå Hund (The Blue Dog), and it is nicely placed between boutiques and green trees. Here, you will have the ultimate café experience in cozy settings surrounded by family, friends and great staff.
A popular place
Since the late 1980s, Den Blå Hund has created a unique place for regulars. As one of the first cafées in this Copenhagen city area, it quickly became a popular destination for the residents of Frederiksberg and others.
Although the café is from the late 80s, the place is still as popular as ever. New owners have taken over Den Blå Hund as time goes on, and the place has been renovated to make room for more guests, but overall, the café remains the same.
During the summer, when the sun is out, Den Blå Hund opens up for outdoor serving in Aksel Møllers Garden right across the street. Here, you can enjoy a variety of drinks such as espresso, homemade lemonade, wine, beer and delicious cocktails.
No matter who you are – you are welcome here
The name of the café comes from the title of a Gnags album from 1984. It is also where they got their easily recognizable neon-logo from. The Gnags mentality can also be found behind the windows in the little café. “No matter who you are, no matter where you are from, you are welcome here.” Den Blå Hund has a lot to offer when it comes to pricing and food options.
The staff’s main focus is to take care of its guests. The menu has a wide selection of food for every occasion. Stop by for a delicious brunch with sausages, yogurt, scrambled eggs and much more. Or perhaps you would like to come by for a delicious lunch or dinner? You can choose dishes such as salads, sandwiches, juicy burgers.
No matter what your preference is, there is something on the menu to your liking. At Den Blå Hund, you will have a memorable experience in great company with high-quality food.
