MØR Restaurant & Bar opened its doors back in September 2018. The word ‘mør’ is Danish for ‘tender’, and the restaurant certainly lives up to the name thanks to their know-how concerning meat. The chefs are the experts. They know exactly how to prepare, cut, and slice every piece of meat. The preparation of the meat is centered around the following three elements: fire, smoke, and heat. These different preparation methods are something you’ll notice when you taste the different dishes. The chef is an educated butcher who with a fiery soul delivers high-quality dishes time and time again, always with a big pinch of love. 

Good meat, perfectly cut

At Mør Restaurant and Bar, the preparation and cutting of the meat is extremely important know-how. The chefs always cut the meat to the bone. By doing this, they use as m of the animals as possible in order to minimize waste. Moreover, all meat comes from farms that fulfill the animal welfare criteria. This means that you can enjoy 250 grams of sirloin from nordic, grass-fed cattle from Freygaard with good conscience. The meat is served with garnish consisting of grilled vegetables, crispy chips, or crushed potatoes with lovage butter and sauce. If steaks are not your preferred food, MØR Restaurant & Bar also has something on the menu for you. Try the home-smoked salmon from the Faroe Islands, campfire-baked celery with confit egg yolk, or grilled monkfish with pumpkin and unripe peaches.

The restaurant is located in the same building as Scandic Hotels on Skelbækgade 3A. When entering the restaurant, the immediate feeling you get is both warm and welcoming, and the dimmed lighting above the copper-coloured tables creates a cosy atmosphere. The different elements of the interior design such as the grain leather-covered furniture, wine glasses, copper casseroles, and rustic cutting boards contribute to the minimalistic and yet cosy look. The waiters are known to deliver impeccable service. They will always greet you with a big smile, and throughout the service, they will make sure that you will have a comfortable and unforgettable evening.
