Alexanders Bistro

Right next to the iconic Elephant Gate resides Alexanders Bistro: An all-day café with an ice cream café, games and lounge area, and as the name suggests, a bistro. Here you can experience a social and atmospheric environment, where you can spend many hours having fun.

Son of the renowned Beier chocolatier

If you think the Beier surname sounds familiar, it is because Alexander is the son of the acclaimed chocolatier Peter Beier, founder of the family business Peter Beier Chokolade. Alexander is now following in his father's footsteps in terms of the sustainable "farm to fork" concept with a strong focus on local ingredients and utilizing climate and environmental conditions.

Alexander's new concept

Alexander's Bistro is a new and exciting concept. Alexander has created an everyday place where you can come and hang out in the many different rooms that offer various fun and food. In the dining room is a classic Danish & French bistro with a superb menu that will make your mouth water. There is also a fireplace room with a bio fireplace and soft armchairs, where you and your friends can enjoy playing board games.

Alexanders Bistro also has an activity room with shuffleboard and foosball, where you can join tournaments. Besides the activity room, they also a café where you can get ice cream from the Peter Beier ice cream café and tea from Østerlands Thehus.

At the bar, you can order sandwiches and salads for lunch, and they also offer a large selection of cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine and champagne. When the sun is shining, you can enjoy the fresh air on their beautiful terrace.

Danish & French bistro

The kitchen is Danish & French bistro-style, where dedicated chefs make food based on sustainability and local ingredients of the highest quality. Their organic beef comes from Ørsholt Estate, which is Alexander's childhood home, and the fish is caught in Danish waters and delivered fresh every morning.

The bistro offers 2- and 3-course menus as well as an a la carte menu, where you can choose between ceviche, moules frites and ribeye. The chef is the young and talented 25-year-old Frederik Buch Fransson, who has experience in Michelin-starred restaurants in Copenhagen and Paris.

The perfect meeting place

Alexander has created a unique common space with high ambitions to create a cosy and relaxed environment where people can meet and enjoy each other's company. It is not a place where you have to dress up to go, but a place where you can easily spend many hours relaxing and feel at home.
