In Italian, "era ora" means simply "about time". And this notion of time lies at the heart of our restaurant’s philosophy. The story began in 1983 when owners Elvio and Edelvita Milleri opened a small restaurant in Christianshavn and began the process of pioneering high quality Italian gastronomy that would change Danish perceptions.

Since 1996 Era Ora has upheld its prestigious Michelin star; numerous other accolades include being four-time winner of the best restaurant in Denmark Award. Latest Era Ora was awarded as world best Italian restaurant outside Italy by Gambero Rosso, the publisher of the Italian restaurant bible
