Just on the Refshaleøen harbour front, you'll find La Banchina. For many years, the little blue house functioned as a waiting room for the B&W shipyard workers, who commuted across the inner harbor, every day.


Today, the place serves as a restaurant and wine bar seating only 16 and offering the best views of Copenhagen. In the summer months, the restaurant and its floating pontoons are filled from morning to evening with guests enjoying breakfast, coffee, vegetable and fish dishes of the day and sipping natural wine, while dipping their feet in the water. In winter, La Banchina's on-site sauna also has a following of its own.


La Banchina Vinter

During winter months (October to March), it is possible to book at table at La Banchina every Thursday to Saturday evening for a Vinter tasting menu. The atmosphere in the small restaurant is intimate and personal. On the menu you will find vegetables, the preserved taste of summer and everything the sea can provide. Everything is prepared with creativity and love – and in accordance with the availability of the season’s best organic produce and seafood. The menu is set by Head Chef Brendon Walker, formerly Head Chef of VeVe. He also has many years of experience from Geranium, Marchal and Kødbyens Fiskebar.


Sustainable, biodynamic and organic

Sustainability is essential to La Banchina, and the restaurant exclusively uses organic and biodynamic produce and trawl-free, sustainable seafood. The wine is clean and unmanipulated and the wine list is set by Sommelier and Restaurant Manager, Bo Bratlann, who has years of industry experience - among other fine places as Sommelier at Amass. The Vinter menu is fixed and consists of 12 servings for 875 DKK, or you can choose one of the paired menus - either with non-alcohol beverages for 1270 DKK or alcohol for 1550 DKK. Ultimately, you can choose to go for ‘The Bonfire’ and let your hosts guide you through the evening, while you just lean back and enjoy, for 2300 DKK.

No reservations possible for daytime. Only the Vinter tasting menu requires booking. A vegetarian or vegan menu is possible upon request. Please write with allergies or dietary restrictions.

La Banchina accepts reservations up to 60 days before your visit and for a maximum of 6 guests. Please contact La Banchina if you have requests for larger bookings. Otherwise, they recommend their sister restaurant Il Buco at Islands Brygge.
