SPARKLING WINE TASTING IN PETER LINDBERGH´s EXHIBITION "LIGHTNESS OF BEING
We invite you to a sparkling wine tasting inspired by the work of one of the most influential photographers in the world, Peter Lindbergh. The tasting will take place in the Peter Lindbergh “Lightness of Being” exhibition hall at Fotografiska.
The tasting will be led by sommelier and Fotografiska restaurant service manager Kristjan Kiho, whose greatest passion is bubbles in the bottle. “Making good sparkling wine takes an immense amount of time, enjoying it only takes a few minutes, and understanding it takes a lifetime. However, it's always the right time to enjoy sparkling wine,” says Kristjan.
In accordance with Lindbergh’s work, we have selected authentic and ‘unretouched' bubbles made using the traditional method from France, the country Lindbergh called home.
Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019) changed not only how fashion photography is perceived on a broader scale, but also how the people captures through his lens are perceived. Lindbergh’s work in the 1990s marked the beginning of an era that still resonates today – it was the heyday of supermodels and a timeless period when femininity and masculinity intertwined, often clad in a white shirt. He did not seek idealized images and emphasized the importance of highlighting a woman’s independence, confidence, and natural beauty. Over the decades, he captured countless fashion and magazine covers, and many credit Lindbergh’s photos as the catalyst for the careers of supermodels like Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington.
The sommelier will be present at the bar from 19.00 to 21:00. Please arrive for the tasting no later than 20:30.
The ticket price includes a tasting of three sparkling wines and access to all Fotografiska exhibitions. The price of the event is 38 €.
